Help With Higher $$ / Small Run Direct Mail Piece

Posted by Anonymous on 500 Points
Hi Gang,

First off, let me say that our new tagline (that you helped design) has been a raging success. We, Peak Incentives, are a leading promotional product supplier looking to capture a larger customer base of Meeting Planners. We have designed a new intro package that will be sent to prospective clients one week before a phone call is made by our sales team. The point of this package is to introduce our company, get their attention briefly, and let them know that we are creative.

Our sales people have created bobble heads of themselves that will go in this package. We hope this will get their attention and show that our salespeople are creative and fun-loving. Our intro piece (tri-fold showcasing our services and client testimonials) will also be included. The final piece is where we need your help.

We are creating a variable data full color card (or sheet, etc) - something that can be personalized to the recipient. Example: DirecTV made one last year that showed a beach with the recipients first name drawn in the sand with a heart around it (Sandy + DirecTV) - very eye catching way to say "we love our customers". We're looking for ideas for this visual part of our piece.

Our thoughts... Custom Classified ad (Creative Company Seeking...), Custom Party Invitation (since they're event planners), Sports Scoreboard (playing off the bobble heads)...

Thanks in advance for your ideas. You all are GREAT!! Best Idea gets all 500 pts.

What about a page from the newspaper, with your customer's name in the headline (e.g. winning an award, or going home at 5:00, or dramatically increasing sales, or something) and the article describing the wonderful benefits to his company due to his association with you guys.

It sounds like you're looking for a concept to include with information on paper. How about a bumpersticker or post-it notes or a certificate with their name on it and "Preferred Customer".
