Sure, you CAN brand yourself, but the real question is WHY you want to do it. What is it you want to accomplish? Once you understand the objective, then you can develop a strategy, and branding is one possible strategy.

Is branding the right strategy for you? It depends on what it is you hope to accomplish and what success looks like for you.

And then it's important to be sure that your brand is more than a label or a slogan. It needs to express and reflect exactly what your point of difference is, how you want your target audience to perceive your brand, and who the primary target audience would be.
