Webinar Statistics/ Industry Standards Needed

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I’m looking for stats on lead generating webinars
e.g. % of registrants who actually attend, % of attendees who purchase and any other industry stats/standards/trends (lenght of time avg person will attend, decline or increase in popularity and so on)

Thank you,
Stephanie

In one of the industries I serve (drycleaning), we have TWO international associations that conduct webinars. Both associations have memberships in the tens of thousands, and both are reported good numbers from conducting webinars. Right now, each association is conducting at least one webinar per month. They are advertising the webinars in their monthly association magazone in in trade journals. Typically, they sell 40 to 150 seats to the webinar. Typically, anywhere from 40 to 120 attendees will actually participate in the webinar. Everyone who buys a seat receives a CD recording of the entire webinar for their library. Those who do not log in and attend are obviously buying the seat for the recording for later obersvation and listening.

I can't say how typical this is of all industries, but I have heard of similar situations from other small business based type industries.

I think averages are about as much use to you as an ash tray on a Harley.

What matters is the response YOU get into YOUR target audience with YOUR message at YOUR Webinars.

I hate to refer people off-forum, because MP/KHE is a truly great group. But if you want to compare notes with other internet marketers on a technical basis, I recommend you join another group https://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/webanalytics/ which comprises technical and marketing people whose main passion is analytics of web-based marketing technologies.

    Hope that helps.
