    So, you add email addresses to lists that DON'T have email addresses? How exactly is THAT opt in?

    Here in Canada, that would be an invasion of privacy.

    Stateside, as I understand Can Spam, unless the client's system collected the email address, any other means would be contrary to Can Spam.

    People should only send to those they have permission to email. That is, normally clients, known prospects, and newsletter subscribers.

    If you purchase a list outright, you are likely to get a LOT of spam complaints and really piss people off. It might be legal to purchase lists but it is more trouble than it is worth to both your email service provider and to you.

    Send permission-based emails only...

    I think these lists would be pointless, because anyone receiving these emails would mark them as spam. Since these emails would rarely be opened and would often be marked as spam, the sender would basically be blocked from every major isp. That means ANY email you send could get labeled as spam, because you now have a bad reputation.

    let me make it clear we donot release all Email address in our list what we do is once we get a append order and the list of clients customer we would pass o the same to our tele marketing and email survey team who would contact them on behalf of clints firm and append contact information of people only interested to recieve information from the firm on whose behalf we are working for it is a completely transparent process and is also in Complys with CAN SPAM ACT 2003
