To understand the phrase, "out of the box thinking" - try this - take a piece of paper, and draw three rows of dots, as follows:

    . . .
    . . .
    . . .

Now, put your pencil on one of the corner dots, and without picking up your pencil, cover all the dots with just four straight lines.

Even though it is very easy to do, you will find that most people can't do it, because they are unable to "think outside the box".

    Dear rybaric,

For me "Out of the box" thinking is totally responding to a set of circumstances in a way that one "feels free" to go outside of the path of logic, education or actual experience and choose an alternative answer *that may be different* than the tradition, culture or world view may deem an accurate solution to the problem.

For me it is very spiritual and comes from God. I have had answers come to me beyond my level of education. I have had incredible solutions come to me through dreams and my observations of nature. Through using it correctly I have been delivered from circumstances that should have killed me. Borrowing ideas from across various industries and even great thinkers from the past has become a daily and life long habit. I often choose solutions that make no absolute sense in the natural and the way things appear.

Through these "out of the box" ideas I have given accurate business, medical and scientific solutions to friends, family and business associates. I'm not asking you to believe what I have written but I challenge you to "try it" before you knock it or put what I have shared with you on the shelf until a later date when you can use it. I have also recorded a great deal of these "out of the box" experiences in over 78 journals that I have personally kept for over 26 years. Is there anything else I can do for you before I go to disney world tomorrow?

    Your Servant, Deremiah, *CPE
