What Are Basics Of Selling Directly To Consumers?

we all know the basic of selling, from identifying sales call components, how to consuct the sales call, knowing when to close, how to make the call effective, askng good questions...etc

We are a company that is specialized in selling to health care professtionals for ages, and we are pretty good at what we are doing, but now, a new field we are entering, which is promoting directly to consumers, they will be mainly female new mothers or mothers to be, so my dilema is should these sales Reps who will go to those mothers use the same principles of selling that our prof. Sales Reps do with health care professionals or selling directly to consumers will differ in principles?
