How To Sell Concept?
Posted By: chandola_cv* on 12/13/2004 9:50 AM (CST) 125 Points
Right readers,

I was busy developng a few ' original 'concepts. One of them relates to Internet. But it's a time consuming exercise, so I decided to
- tie up with an innovation trading company on profit sharing, so I represent through them.
- Now If I wish to invite a few people before presenting it to the target buyer.
1) Expert on Flash presentations,
2) A Negotiation expert to make the presentation.
I understand this is the right place to invite such companions.
3) A marketeer with a deep understanding of original Ideas selling.

Ist Buyer is ' Google '. I am sure we could take charge some good money, ofcourse Google benefits largely, and on a global scale.

Send me an email.

Chandola, please do not post your email address in your questions or answers. That's strictly against our community guidelines for a variety of reasons. You're welcome to display it on your profile page and to invite readers to view your profile page. Thanks!

Best wishes,

Val

Hi Chandola,

I think I understand your question: It sounds like you are positioning yourself as a partner with a tech company, with profit sharing as the compensation. You are responsible for sales. You are looking for additional partners here on this forum, including a Flash programmer, a sales person with experience in selling new products for entrepreneurs, and a negotiation expert for presenting. Your first potential client and therefore your first presentation is Google.

If this is a correct assessment of your question, here are a few suggestions:
If you are looking for partners with experience for a new company, you will most likely not find others here willing to join in for profit sharing unless you provide a lot more solid information like a professional business plan, disclosure of financial status and a whole host of other things that would help to legitimize your business.

I am unsure why you would need a negotiation expert and a marketing person. Someone with experience selling brand new products for an entreprenuer would most definitely have the experience to do marketing and sales. Plus, aren't you doing the marketing? Why can't you do the sales presentation? Just a question.

Finally, for more input on ideas on how to sell your product, you might want to give us a little more information on that product. We may be able to help you through this forum to solidfy your ideas and your presentation.

Good luck to you.

Sharon

Dear Val,
Thanks. I will keep your suggestion while using your services.

OK Sharon,
Let me clarify further. I am presenting a new imaginative Concept and no product.. But you can't sell ideas and concepts in the individual capacity, you have a have a back up support. SoI tie up witha company that trades in innovations.
The only problem is that If I sell on my own and I design the presentations, my mind will be occupied with something conventional . Result, all my imaginations and generation of new concepts going for a six.( This is the Science of Mind, Dianetics ).
The origination of imaginations and the process of creation are explained at http://www.debrabruce.com/assess_care.htm

Now, I need to appoint a few people who can take up the concepts, sell it to right buyers and the buyer will be responsible for execution of these projects. I could have appointed people on salary, but unless I have released my 1st Ebook and generated some money, i can't appoint anyone.
I would ofcourse prefer dealing with people who subscribe to marketing information and quiz sites like marketingprof.com. It shows their interest. But how about finding a person who could sell imaginations?

Hmm. Ideas are a dime a dozen. Execution is what people buy. How does your "concept" provide value? And, once someone hears your concept, why do they need you? You may have some terrific ideas, but unless you can answer those questions, you don't have a market and you won't have a business.

Good luck and take the next step.
