Webhosting And Registration Question

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
Hey folks, later this month I will beginning work on my new website. I have used Value Web in the past for hosting and registered on Network Solutions. OK, so I'm watching the super bown and see the godaddy ad. Their site says I can register for $9 or something and get hosting for $4 per month. Have I been getting ripped off or what am I missing. Why would anyhone register wit h NS when it's 3 times the price. Same with hosting. Man, this is getting wordy sorry. My question: How should I register, who should host?
Thanks,
Gary

GoDaddy is great. I have moved dozens of domains from Network Solutions to GoDaddy, and I can't think of any reason to stay with NetSol at this point (this is for domain registration and management only).

I used to think that NetSol had a great interface with great customer support, and maybe they do. However, I've always had great results with GoDaddy; the interface and account management tools are easy to use, and you can't beat the pricing.

As for hosting, I can't answer that as we use dedicated servers. Using a shared Web server just wouldn't work for us, but it might be okay for your business or use.

As for registration, however, "Go, Daddy, Go!"
