Lead Generation, Again.

Posted by Anonymous on 150 Points
Has anyone used a lead generation company they have been happy with? We are a technology, engineering and e-solutions company. I would like to find lead generator to find leads in our technology infrastructure department. Please view our web site for details on this department. Our web site is www.tigs.com.

I posted this question yesterday but I accidently closed it too soon. You can see the earlier responses here:

There are many techniques to generate leads. I'd like to address this question from the perspective of telemarketing.

As a professional telemarketer, I would say that your ability to find a lead generation company you are "happy with" will be dependent on your objectives for the program.

Are your objectives and your timeframe for results reasonable? If so, there are probably 1,000 companies who can help you. If you are like most folk I speak with, who have completely unrealistic short term goals, then you can probably find someone who will take your money and give it their best shot...

I looked at your web site, and I've personally done a dozen projects for companies like yours. Each of the projects met my expectations, few of them met client's expectations. One basic reason is that most clients are used to talking with folk who are in the buying stage: they have responded to a mailing, or visited the web site, or asked one of your customers for a referral. They are totally unprepared to deal with 95% of the market who already has one of your competitors providing service, or has an employee servicing the equipment, and is happy with that service.

Let me also say that I do not use Telemarketing to generate leads for myself. Why should I, when I only need to add a new client every other month or so, and eMarketing is so much less expensive?

If you would like to discuss further, I'd be happy to do so, no charge.
