Food & Beverage Concept

Posted by iFocus on 250 Points
Here is my dilemma. I need to come up with a food and beverage concept [from a to z, including food, interior design, etc...] for a resort located in a country where i have never been. This resort is meant to be an upscale place patronized by foreigners (a few locals will be able to afford the place). Families are not the target since there will be no activities for children. It is more a place for couples, singles and companies (seminars and others). This country has not been hit by tourism yet. The location of the resort is in the middle of let say a jungle -no beaches, no moutains and hundreds of miles away from the capital. This question is posted in the customer behavior but i guess could be posted under branding too. Thank you for your help

    Here are some assumptions...
    1) being in the middle of a jungle the resort will be catering to the eco-tourist type customers
    2) If presented with a jungle make a JUNGLE
Since the chain Rainforest has been so successful you could tag onto that...
    Rainforest - the real deal
    Or Eco-Jungle Bar and Grill
or Tarzan's Tavern by the Vine

As far as food and drink.. I would look into a better profile of who is coming and why. If you really cater to the eco-tourist (which I am supposing you are) you should include some vegan meals and certainly a complete line of native fruit juice based drinks.

This resort located in the middle of nowhere is supposed to attract high end tourists. They will have nowhere else to go but to stay inside the property. Who can help me with a concept including F&B to what we can most probably add a bit of culture whether local or not. Come on, 250 points to win!
