I assume your assignment is to DO a PEST analysis, not hunt for one on the internet and copy it down or ask some experts to do it for you. And I’m sure you wouldn’t want to do either of these because it’s probably an ethics violation and professors DO review this sight and can determine who’s who from your report. I seriously doubt you’re going to find one anyway and I doubt anyone who spent all the time and effort to do one would just give it away for free. So, I offer you the PEST process to help guide you in your analysis.

PEST for Panera Bread in the region of interest would look at each of the areas:

• Political
  This includes factors like tax policy, employment laws, environmental regulations, trade restrictions and tariffs, and political stability. So for Panera Bread's in the region of interest, what are the various tax, employment, environmental laws affecting the market and manufacturing of Panera Bread's? What laws are in place affecting the import and export of Panera Bread? How stable is the region of interest from a political basis? How are all of these factors likely to change in the future? How would changes affect the region and firm with respect to Panera Bread's?



• Economic
  This area includes factors of economic growth, interest rates, exchange rates and inflation rate. In the region of interest, what are the economic conditions - inflation rate, stability of money value, interest rates? Is the area economy growing in or declining? What's the future hold economically? How will this affect the firm and the market for Panera Bread?



• Social
  Factors to examine here are: cultural aspects and include health consciousness, population growth rate, age distribution, career attitudes and emphasis on safety. How would the firm be affected by the region culture? Is the region health conscious or not? How would this affect the firm and Panera Bread's? Is the population growing? Declining? What's the age distribution? What are career attitudes? What are the safety aspects? How long do people live? How much leisure time do they have? Is there many languages? What are their attitudes to technological products and foreign products? Are there religious aspects? How are all these changing? How would the change affect the firm and Panera Bread's?
  
  
• Technology
  This includes R&D activity, automation, technology incentives and the rate of technological change. For Panera Bread, you are probably talking recipe development, baking processes, processes to mix and ship materials, etc. How's the quality mentality of the people (quality at Panera Bread would be an issue)? How does the region rate in each of these and what change will the future see? How is the firm affected now and in the future?

From here, you gather information on the internet from Panera Bread websites and/or going to a store and watching and/or asking the managers, perhaps.

Let me check: Yes, I have my degree. And I'm in the top 20 on this forum is because I did my own work on projects and know my stuff. I spent time in the library researching and practicing using the analysis tools.
