Know-How Exchange : Student Questions

Hello,

Some recommendtion that i have are: look at trends, what drives their spending power, what makes them fashionistas. Why buy fashionable things rather than just any clothing to put on their back.

Who are the trend setters? Why is it that we are more likely to buy when we see it. What are some vusual merchandising strategies? For example, at supermarkets, they shelf things they want to sell at eye level. They have the chips at aisle 1 and the dip at aisle 10 to make you walk thru the store to see other things resulting in buying more. Does the fashion industry to something similar?

Look at the holiday seasons and how consumer behavior changes. Look at savvy shoppers still looking like fashionistas.

A suggestion. Take all the things you can find about your topic.

Make a table with these topics across the top and fill them in for each article you read.

(1) work out what each one has as a topic for the title
(2) work out what each one is offering fashionwise

add any ideas to the above that you have yourself.

The hard bit is now up to you. Work out what they are NOT saying!
That is your opportunity for a new and different topic that should still be in line with new fashions!
