Your company is in a very crowded, competitive field and could spend an enormous amount of time and effort improving your Google rankings without ever reach the first page or two. So the question is, is a higher Google rank relevant to sales?

Because your company's site is all about sales, the better question is "How do we increase traffic?" rather than "How do we increase search engine rank?" Many sites sell very well by investing more in promotion than in search, because rank doesn't always translate to traffic or sales ... and in your space, even a heroic SEO effort might never get your company to the first page in big search engines.

However, companies in the mobile app space often find a lot of success with a combination of targeted email marketing, YouTube videos (great for case studies) and informational webinars ("How a Custom Mobile App Can Boost Your Sales," etc.). These formats are all designed to drive traffic, and they offer your company a lot more information about your prospects and control over the sales process than search engine rank can do.

You might also consider an Adwords campaign. Your field is crowded and competitive, as peg points out. But at least if you bid aggressively you'll be able to get page 1 visibility. And you only pay when someone clicks-through to your site.

That's going to be much more certain, and probably more cost-effective, than an expensive and extended SEO program.
