Music Enrollment Dropping

Posted by Anonymous on 50 Points
Hi there, I would like to take this time to thank all for your valuable time in contributing to my last question on Music School Enrollment.

Some of the ideas had been implemented in my school i.e. in-concert, in-studio performance, counselling & encouragement....

My music school is a Proven Music System recognised internationally but I think that due to the trend in Singapore (that's where I am from), the children & teenagers are more interested in their school academic systems, enrichment courses like speech & drama, ballet, abacus and the internet have a very direct effect on their time. Thus, music becomes secondary. How do I revive the love of musc not only for the children but also for teenagers, adults and even the seniors.

I am supposed to meet my boss for a strategic business plan meeting next week and I am at a loss in terms of ideas to generate business. Our company is also into cost-cutting measures, thus we minimise on our advertising budgets and only send out direct mailers whenever there is a course / term start date.

Personally, I tend to believe that in order for the public to recognise our Brand, we need to constantly advertise either through classifed adverts in papers, do direct mailings and email blast. Can someone advise me whether are these effective as my boss would ask what id the success or hit rate against costs (as usual).

Need all the advice I can have. Help.........
