Five SlideShare Tips for Getting Your Content Noticed
![]() |
You've produced content for your website, blog, and social networks... but why stop there? Extend your content's reach to SlideShare's 60 million monthly users, who view a whopping 130 million pages on the site. How can you best make use of SlideShare? David Armano offers these five tips for "Optimizing Content & Visibility With SlideShare" in a post on his Logic + Emotion blog:
Think in, and use, images. "Some of the most viewed and shared presentations on SlideShare go beyond bullet points and extensive copy in favor of highly visual presentations that communicate ideas quickly and in an engaging fashion," Armano says. Use photos, infographics, charts, and screenshots to help make your point.
Have a point of view. Content is more compelling when it's underpinned by passion, so take a stand in your work. Discuss why a trend matters—or doesn't. Avoid wishy-washy language and flip-flopping in your argument.

Share your expertise (in an interesting way). The key word in "SlideShare" is "share." Instead of hoarding knowledge, Armano suggests, "Pick topics that have strong communities around them and then produce a deck that tells a story about what you know and teaches the reader something."
