Write? Right!

Published on February 16, 2009

How many times have you heard the phrase, "Content is king"? When it comes to search marketing, it's not hyperbole. Content is, well, the key to keywords. "This is the reason writing articles is probably the most [popular] Internet marketing tool being used today," writes Uchenna Ani-Okoye in a recent post at SEO Snack. "Providing information through articles is a great way to drive desirable traffic to your site."

Ani-Okoye shares the following other advantages marketers can gain from writing articles to promote their businesses:

  1. It's absolutely free. All that's required are your thoughts, and a computer.
  2. Your website will get noticed in a short period of time. Submitting your articles to article directories enables your site to be crawled.
  3. You'll obtain back links automatically. When you submit your articles to directories, other sites might pick them up. Provided you include copyright conditions and links, the sites that run your article will drive traffic back to yours.
  4. It can improve your reputation. What better method is there to show that you or someone from your company is an expert in your field than writing articles that have the ability to give you some bragging rights?

The Point: Don't be shy. Let loose the writer in you! Penning keyword-rich articles to post on your site provides numerous advantages, not the least of which is increased traffic.
