A Note to Readers
from Ann Handley
Chief Content Officer

Back to Business

Last week, I wrote this note from southern Maine, where I was squeezing every last drop out of August. A few exacting readers took me to task for calling last week "last, lazy week of summer."

Okay, okay... I'm crying Uncle. I know that summer doesn't officially end until later this month. But at least for me, September always signals the start of fall, even if that start isn't official.

And today, it does feel like it's time to place our noses on the grindstone, and get back to work. So how about kicking off your fall by signing up to attend the MarketingProfs Digital Marketing Mixer?

The event, scheduled for this October in Scottsdale, AZ, promises to deliver a solid grounding in the Big Three of digital marketing: Email, Search, and Social Media. No more wasted budgets, no more stabbing in the dark, no more trying to figure out what channels work best for you, at your company.

Now doesn't that sound like an invigorating way to begin the fall? Get more information or sign up here.

p.s. This is pretty exciting news, and the thanks should go to you: the MarketingProfs iPhone application, launched August 20, is the fifth most popular app in the Business section of the iPhone app store. More than 4,000 of you have downloaded during the last week of August. Thank you!

And if you have an iPhone and aren't reading some of our content on your iPhone yet, what are you waiting for? Download it here.
