Not enough time to find the best content to share with your audience?

Too many articles to read to keep up with on what's going on in your industry?

Many great tools are available to help you share content. Some are free or low-cost; some, with more functionality and more geared toward the enterprise market, are priced higher.

In this article, I focus on seven low-cost tools that will help with you find and share great content.

1. Scoop.it

Scoop.it is a tool for finding and curating content.

If you join Scoop.it, you create boards around specific topics, and on those boards you add links to content you find relevant to those topics.

You can also follow the boards of others who are actively finding content that could be relevant to your interests. The trick is to find really good curators of relevant content. Why search through all the content when other people are actively curating it for you?

Interesting list Ian. I hadn't heard of a few of these tools, so I'll definitely be checking them out. Thanks for sharing them!

Thanks for sharing this post with us! I am sure all this tools might be helpful, but they still have a lot of problems that has to be fixed soon. For example, software that described in this post, often gives you content that “may be relevant to your interests”. The key words are “may be”. Unfortunately, it turns out frequently that all that stuff you get is not relevant at all! So you have to double search through information.

Thanks for your feedback. The functionality is different for each tool so it may be relevant to one business but not another so unfortunately you are right, it still requires some more investigation to figure out the best tool for your business. Ian

I would suggest the new realtime search product from bit.ly. Very powerful for finding high velocity (lots of shares/minute) content that might pique your audience's interest.

Extremely helpful Ian, now that I use a few of these tools I only spend a third of the time I used to sharing content.

Absolutely agree about Scoop.it, love it and saves me plenty of time. We've also used Fire.ly which delivers a lot of content daily and is getting better over time. Anyone else used/heard of it?
