Five Reasons Your Awesome Content Isn't Going Viral [Infographic]

by   |    |  7,235 views

You put so much work into your awesome content that you expect it to go viral as soon as it hits the Internet. But after you publish it, no one seems to care...

So, why isn't your brilliant content catching fire? For five likely reasons, according to an infographic by WhoIsHostingThis.

One reason is the lack of emotional appeal. Content that arouses curiosity, amazement, astonishment, uncertainty, humor, and admiration has a greater chance of going viral. Negative emotions do not inspire sharing, however.

Bad timing can also affect whether your content goes viral. For example, weekends are not the best time for sharing content. "Find the days and times when your content is most in-demand," suggests WhoIsHostingThis.

Other factors that influence content's virality are poor design, lack of share-worthiness, and poor distribution.

To find out more about what's hindering your content from being shared, check out the infographic:

Superb article and great information Verónica! Not only do you tell us which steps to follow when we write with infographics, but the article itself is a great example of one that goes viral!

I agree with you when you specify that the content needs to create specific emotions for the reader. Actually, when the reader gets to an emotion, he will have more chances to remember you.

Personally, when I communicate with my audience, I am always aware (as you prone) of their concerns, what frustrates them, what keeps them awake at night, so I can provide an answer to one of their challenges.

And thanks also for the color chart and the meaning of each color. Very useful!

Most important reason of content is not going viral is that bloggers or webmaster don't share their content or content related posts on proper social media sites therefore they have to pay for it and they didn't get benefits of their awesome content. Marketing of an awesome content is the most important and effective thing which is necessary for all businesses.
