How To Create A Web Page With Search Terms Include

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
I am paying far too much money to have my web page pop up on the first page when someone searches in Google for the product I provide. I currently have the search term located in my meta file but somehow Google does not recognize this. It is not as if I am using a term that is "tricky" or that does not apply to my company, in fact it is exactly what we sell. How can I find out how have my site pop up earlier in the list without paying an arm and a leg?

What you are asked about is what is called Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

Here are some MarketingProf Articles on the subject:
    https://www.marketingprofs.com/4/klais2.asp
    https://www.marketingprofs.com/4/spencer2.asp (part 1)
    https://www.marketingprofs.com/4/spencer3.asp (part 2)

Here's what Google says about it:

Google does keep the true algorithm behind their calculation of PageRank secret, but it involves works in your web page (meta tags, alt tags, true text, words in the address line of your page) and the number and quality of pages that link to you (basically, if a page that is highly ranked on the word being searched on links to you, that helps you a lot).

Download a trial version of Web Position Gold www.webposition.com. Run the "Page Critic" option on your web page for the search phrases you want to optimise the page for. You will then get a comprehensive set of recommendations of changes you should make to your page to have it ranked in the Top 10. The recommendation will include Title, meta tags, page content, word density, etc.

    Hope this helps

    Joelle,
As it has been stated no search engine give any weight to meta terms. If they would be fooled around by anyone who cares less about working hard for the good of their customers.

Google, like any other search engine must provide value to its customers. Their customers are those people who search on google. It must give them the most relevant pages to the terms they are searching for. This is how they build credibility.

If your site is relevant then it must be rich in relevant content on your product. Let me add at this point Google doesn't search for merchants. It is searching for information.

If you want a highly affordable tool on how to win on search engines and sells your products read https://myss.sitesell.com/online-profits.html . This is a great book that would address your question well.
