How Do I Set Up A Website?

I want to set-up a website. I want to learn about finacially supporting a nationwide one, how to send out the info, financials in running one, and how to get started. Other than attracting advertising, what other money making methods can go with running a successful site? How do credit card transactions work online? I have an idea that believe can work, and I'm looking for answers to a lot of questions, but before I can get those questions answered, I need the basics... Help me.

    You're asking a broad question that people have written whole BOOKS to answer.

    Why don't you tell us the basics of your idea, then we can give you some constructive advice?

    Wow, what a huge, broad question. As Shelley said, not only have people wrote whole books to answer your questions, but most of us here have spent years in school and on the job developing our own knowledge bases, turning that into consultative businesses that provide this valuable information to entrepreneurs like yourself.

    So, taking her advice, I suggest you go to www.amazon.com and type in "building a website", look at the top 10 books, and start ordering and reading.

    Or, contact any of us, especially in the top 25, if you really want to move forward with your strategizing and planning.

    Lastly, you will get more specific answers here if you ask specific questions or present a specific problem - if not now, in the future once you are further along with your development.
