    If you mean the PROCESS for developing strategy, then there IS a similarity across companies and industries. But that's not to say that strategy development is the same for all companies/industries.

    For example, many/most companies like to start with a SWOT analysis, analyzing consumer/customer research, and having in-depth product knowledge/understanding. In that sense the PROCESS is often very similar.

    But that's just the PROCESS. The actual content, and the direction the strategy takes, can be, and usually is, very different from company to company, industry to industry.
