Please explain your present role, and how you envision it expanding over the next 5-10 years. What type of interactivity to you have with the clients?

What are the type of clients you have and seek?

Do a google search on the key responsibilities of your job, then take a look at the marketing roles and their descriptions that appear from recruitment consultants.

Good Luck :-)

Is there a reason you and your colleague can't have the same title? Especially if you share responsibility equally.

Your title should be consistent with that of other companies like you.

Marketing Coordinator is a good "catch all title" that has broad range understanding.

DO NOT create a new title for an existing job unless the job has changed. In other words don't call a receptionist that answers the phone the Incoming Verbal Communications Associate.

Iam working on the product pricing, marketing plan , sales forecast and a few other things in this JV. Down the line i would like to see myself as a marketing person in the IT industry.

I would suggest that you have the Marketing Manager or Marketing executive as your title.

uma

Take a look at this question thread, there are a number of salary resources - the ones I mention in this question also carry role titles with responsibilities so that might help you decide
