As with any interview, be ready to talk about any prior successes you've had in areas similar to what they are looking for. For example, if you've been on a launch team before, make sure you are ready to talk about what you did, what were the problems, how you solved them, and what the results were.

This holds not just for the specific roles and duties, but they may also ask about industry experience. Many of the product management openings I have seen generally look for someone with experience in the same industry as the opening. So be ready to talk about how your experiences match their industry.

    Good luck.

There is an entire chapter on interviewing for the job you want in The Potato Chip Difference : How to apply leading edge marketing strategies to landing the job you want.

My strong recommendation would be to get a copy of the book and read it cover-to-cover. (It's a relatively short book, so you should be able to finish it in a day.)

You can get the book at any of the online booksellers or bricks-and-mortar bookstores, or order it on the website www.potatochipdifference.com .

In a nutshell, the book suggests lots of research and going to the interview with something to actually contribute to the company even before you're hired. (That's the short version.)

    Good luck.
