Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Hi: We're a new guitar accessory. You can visit us at www.axehugger.com. We've kind of hit a wall with our marketing approach and would love any fresh suggestions. We are looking to brand ourselves. We are also trying to create a creative way to get in front of a large national/international market.

Your site doesn't open . . . but I found enough about it from other sites to know what you make and to have seen a picture of it. I just spent weeks working with a microphone maker penetrating the same basic marketplace as the stand covers do (different part of it of course)--including working with their strategic partnership with Guitar Center HQ out here in the SF Valley.

Here's my initial advice. Don't focus on "brand" as if it's some bag of magic beans that you plant and lo and behold up springs a marketplace. Walls are usually not the result of, or the symptom of a need for, branding. There are other issues, like demographics, positioning within the home, professional, semi professional segments; whole product evolution: just to toss a stat out for fun: 54% of Americans play a musical instrument--have you figured out how you're going to solve the same problem for sax players, trmpeters etc?

Examples can go endlessly--my point is only to say that "branding" wouldn't at first blush for me anyway seem like the missing element for you.
