Motivational Speaker W/ A Mission, Message And Methodology For Upgarding Workforce Quality In America:

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
Happy 2004,

My name is Barbara Bamba, Career Consultant and Workforce Development Partner seeking to establish national presence in the Speaking/Corporate Meetings & Events Industry.

My focus is "Positioning People for Success in the New Economy to Upgrade Workforce Quality"

Need to build consensus around a new career development paradigm known as "Customized Learning and Career Development: the process of connecting current and future workforce members to their intrinsic strengths, values and affinities to help them convert the *task* of lifelong learning into a compelling, customized journey to career and worklife success.

Potential Target Markets: Parents, Educators, School Administrators, Secondary, Post-Secondary, Graduate Students, Young Professionals, Workforce Development Folks, Employers, Managers, Employees (as parents and career changers).

Have a speech that informs people of the changes that are occuring in the business enterprise due to the advent of technology. Urges them to "abandon status quo" education and career development practices that worked to prepare people to function, survive and succeed in old industrial economy and society. It presents implications for the future state of workers, businesses and the economy should we continue to educate-to-prepare young folks for workforce in the way we're doing it now.

Please help, I feel this message is of critical timimg and importance.

But how do I market myself to get to the folks who need to hear it. How do I get clients. What do I say to get them interested.

Many Thanks

    Hello Barbara...

I am a personal branding consultant working in a similar area so I understand your offering and objectives.

To be successful in communicating your message, you might want to consider reducing or prioritizing your target market. Each of the groups you mentioned is going to need a relevant and compelling message...and the ways to reach each of them differs.

Focus on the group that is going to be easiest to reach and will provide you with the greatest revenue so that you have the resources you need to pursue other groups.

    Best!
    William
