Email Marketing Through Yahoo And Msn..

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
I am new to this field. I am planning an online advertising campaign for a women's fashion magazine. I successfully prepared the outline for my campaign but the problem is that I cannot find out whether I can place my advertisement in the Welcome page of selected Yahoo Mail users what will it cost me to do the following:

1) Place my banner in the welcome page of Yahoo Mail inbox.

2) Send my newsletter to targeted users in the United States through MSN WebCourier.

I went through a lot of research but could not find any statistics regarding the above. I also want to know whether these statistics are deliberatley kept classified and if yes, why?

You have to call them: (408) 349-1572.

You will find the answer to your question a lot faster than waiting for someone in the forum who just so happens to utilize the Yahoo tool you are interested in using.

Although, I believe your money would be better spent on the other types of business campaigns available at Yahoo which are much more effective than a banner, I wish you the best!

    Good Luck!

I would be tempted to abandon the posting of an ad on the Yahoo Webmail page and go for text links particularly on the hotmail site and then "one to one" email communications to people with a stated interest in fashion, instead. I have had great results with choosing the interest catergory that best suits my clients needs and then sending them an offer direct to their inboxes. The best part is that you can then get the chance to further communicate with the target audience by offering promotional products, trial subscriptions, bonus months with initial subscription or even a competition for a prize that directly relates to the editorial of the first issue of the magazine. This can all be done on-line, which minimises handling costs and gives you instant and reliable tracking of your campaign. The other key lesson here is to test a number of databases which can deliver the people that are most likely to be interested in what you have to offer. Test different promtions, offers and creative, then measure the results, then roll out to the broader market.
