ALL have requested samples and a "formal" proposal for co-branding and character licensing. Being this is a branch of the "forest" I have yet to explore, does anyone:
1. Know the BEST (not the textbook) way to format an eyecatching proposal to people such as these? They thumb through hundreds a day. I need to stand out.
2. Have any tips based on experience with these folks on whether to hit them hard with lots of info, graphics, and a flashy CD presentations...or just a simple letter with bulleted facts?
3. Does anyone have contacts within any of the above-mentioned organizations they can direct me to?
Even though I received invitations from company reps, I assume THEY are not the decision makers. Hence my desire to approach the licensing commitees with "appropriate and effective" measures.
My usual tactic would be to go all out, but my gut is telling me otherwise.
Any suggestions?
