Getting Major Business From Federal Government

A Fortune 500 company that sells major systems wants to get more business from the U.S. federal government. I'm looking for a specialized consultant that can teach them how to do a better job of marketing and selling to this market.

For example, what shows and conferences to attend. How to better use present contacts. How to get their corporate foot in more federal doors. How major buying decisions get made at the federal level.

My question: How do I find top consultants that specialize in this area and how do I screen them to make the best choice?
