All the respected experts,

I would like to mention first of all that earlier also i have got my website analysed from you all and that time i have got very good and valuable pieces of advice. After adopting and implementing those suggestions we have now relaunched our website www.shreevedic.com with a totally new look.

Now I would appreciate to have comments on the website designing as well as content matter. I would also welcome suggestions about its promotion and publicity in all over the world not only in India as we want to share all the information about Indian Culture and Indian Vedic Science & Ayurveda with the whole world.

Hi, I think there's too much information on the homepage; I find it overwhelming. I would suggest taking some of the links off the homepage and saving them for when the user drills down into a category. Some of the categories are redundant. For example, you have a Health & Beauty section in the middle, and also in the left-hand navigation bar.

Some of the images are not sized properly. (Like the picture of Shri Shri Ravishankar, or the healthy & beauty pic in the middle).

I looked for an example of a good website that is similar to yours, and the closest I could find is this website, which won a Webby award: https://www.beliefnet.com/.

Webby award websites are good to look at for inspiration - https://www.webbyawards.com/webbys/current.php#webby_entry_health.

    Dear Alka,

A website should always gel with the theme of your product or company. Right now the site looks like a cookie clutter e-commerce website which is exactly the opposite effect I would expect from a website about the vedas and yoga.

When you think of Yoga you think of peace and simplicity - your website needs to portray that. I would simplify it a lot and give it more flow. What you can do is use drop down menus to gradually show more information as your surfer navigates through them.

One last piece of advice - lose the flash animation at the top of the page. It adds no value to your website and is taking up very valuable screen real estate.

    Hope this helps.

    Hello,
i have few comments on the website

contents: articles place accent on importance and vague lifestyle recommendations but does not provide solutions. if you plan to advertise to occidental visitors keep in mind that occidental culture is oriented towards results/solutions right away.
if you still decide to keep the contents in that way my recommendation would be to put the space for contextual ads at the bottom of the article .. when someone reads it they naturally would like to find follow up solution and the ads below can provide that opportunity.

links: under construction and broken links needs repair:
https://www.shreevedic.com/vedictech/soundsleep.asp >> page could not be displayed

cluttered design: i agree with what was said in the other comments - there are too many links on the page. Contents need some space to 'breath'

    Good luck

    Very, very busy site.

Should be far more calming, simplified. Look at the design rules of Vaasthu Shastra - does your site get the guru's recommendation?

Some pictures have unfortunate aspect ratio - (squeezed to fit?) I'm sure the lady on https://www.shreevedic.com/vedictech/sunscreen.asp is thin and beautiful but the picture is squeezed to make her look short and fat.

Is the site hosted in India? Speed of rendering to Australia is slow and lumpy. Worth relocating somewhere closer to the centre of the internet world if you plan on attracting a global audience.

Promotion? Try Google Adwords, but read all you can find about it first before spending real money.

    Good luck

I would tone it done a bit, at least on the homepage. I am no expert, but as a consumer, I think of Yoga & astrology as this kind of mystical mind easing theory. The site seems overwhelming for something that is rather relaxed. Just my .02
