Key Copy Tips For Newsletter Marketing

What are some tips for effective newsletter marketing - particulary via direct mail? Do you know of any statistics or information that point to copy effectiveness? In other words - what copy will drive new subscriptions?

    I agree with all the above and want to add that whatever method you use it should be part of an overall integrated marketing program. This means that all your marketing tactics i.e. direct mail, e-mail, advertising, telemarketing, smoke signals, whatever, should work together, leverage each other, to drive sales, whether it is on a website, physical store, personal meeting etc.

    Remember to build in a feeback mechanism because if you can't measure it, you can't prove and improve.
