Customer Database Management Program

Posted by Anonymous on 50 Points
Anyone know a good customer management database management program for windows or mac OS? Preferably on a mac OS.

I'm looking to sort out a large number of customer data. email and etc. And also have an easier way to send out news to the customers in a more efficient manner.

But most importantly i also need to be able to generate categories based on their activities. Such as, people who have been responded to questions vs people who have not in the last month. Or people who has purchased my product vs people who has only signed up but made no purchase.

It would need to be able to handle 50 000+ customers.

Thanks!

It sounds like you need a contact management solution. If you have Microsoft Office Pro. Access has one built into it.

There are also a few good ones featured here: https://www.nmoa.org/Contacts/marketingsoftware.htm

File maker Pro v10 is probably your best option.
You can customise it to cope with just about any scenario, it works on Mac and PC and is compatible with Some CRM and accounting software.

There are also third party providers that can customise it for you.
We have been using it for three months and it has changed our business.

If you wish to know more please feel free to email me

    Dear David

Eighteen months ago, once I’d asked you some key questions I might not have hesitated in recommending Maximizer for this task. It used to the best value for money for a lot of your requirements and was supported by a very professional network of dedicated business partners.

These days I can’t do that – it requires Microsoft SQL server as part of the installation and from the feedback I’ve been getting it is proving problematic for large databases in small companies but as they have refused to keep me technically up to speed and feature wise up to date I’m not sure if these are petty gripes or real problems. 50,000 records with their associated notes, documents and contacts is certainly a reasonably large system and from what I can gather there are now better solutions.

To offer you the best guidance, could you let me know how many users you envisage on the system, whether they will all be in the office or whether some or all work remotely or from home. Also do you wan to have the software in house on a workgroup or on a client – server system or are you willing to use an on-demand system where the supplier hosts your application and your data and you access it through a browser.

Depending on your answers I will be able to offer better advise based on my 20 years experience in a plethora of Contact management and CRM systems for almost every application under the sun!

    Best wishes

check out web based products like Vtiger (www.vtiger.com) and SugarCRM. Either of those would work just fine for for you.
