How To Devise Corporate Communications Strategy?

What are the 10 steps that you should do before you evolve the strategy? The questions to ask? Areas to focus upon?

    Huh? Ten steps? What if there are only five? What if there are twelve?

    The approach I'd recommend is to solicit proposals from a few experienced consultants who have developed successful corporate communications strategies for others, hire the one you think has the best (i.e., most relevant) experience, and hire him or her to do it for your company.

    Developing a corporate communications strategy the first time is going to be a painful learning experience if you try to do it yourself. Get professional help.

    And there are probably NOT "ten steps" you should do before you "evolve the strategy." You're making it sound both more complex and simpler than it is.

    I agree my question ought to have been what are the first few steps. Thanks for pointing out the error. I am looking at experts who have worked on such projects to talk about their process map. Thanks folks.

    Corporate Communications is about telling a believable story. There is always a protaginist.

    Corporate Communications strategy is not much easy task. You must need to think on it.
    First make priorities....before developing a strategy you must keep in mind.
    Your long term objectives?
    Your set goals..(Smart)?
    Then write down the pupose (you have in mind) that you gain from CCS (Corporate Communication Strategy).
    What benefits/results you foreseeing for this CCS.
    Then do research ..do case stuides of exampled CCS from good businesses.
    Match the similarities....search your competitors well.
    Arrange sessions for brain storming and discuss with your management and evelove ideas.
    Develop alternatives and try to fit these one after other with your business.
    Then select best positive alternative (CCS) for your business.

    For better CCS, you need to empwer employees and develop flat organization structure.
    CCS is the way of communication......how communication flow from top to bottom and middle management to top in the form of feedback.

    By develping best CCS , you can able to further enhance your brand's overall strengths. Because all the employees properly comminicate about what the business is, what's brand portfolio and how they represent their brands in the better way. BY CCS, you better aling all the departments goal with each other and with overall corporate strategy.
    So it is not as simple as you think.....There is a need to go beyond thinking and smart and team work.
