Idea Needed For A Postcard (to Former Clients)

Posted by k.sapen on 500 Points
What would you suggest us to put on front side of full-color postcard to make former clients (technology folks from Fortune 1000 companies interested in cloud computing stuff) to attend annual event again?

    a humming bird

It's in the air - stable, swift, precise
Moving from one source to another
    infatigable pursuing it goal
    it's beautiful and colorful

and it's very different from so many other images send to CIO and IT people, that it just might catch their attention
    - wouldn't suggest to have a tag line, but use the above key features in your text.

Stock photography showing a cloud against a blue sky. Add the tag line: "Join us here..."

Place the details of the event on the back with compelling copy and specific call-to-action.

If they attended before, then remind them of the benefits they last saw (hear the latest cloud best-practices, etc.). If you had any testimonials from the conference, use a quotation or two to both credit your attendees and showcase the personal benefit.

I work for a Fortune 100 Tech company and have many co-workers that deal specifically with Cloud.

The BEST hook is a picture of an IPAD2 that you will give away to one of the attendees. You can even put that the odds of them winning will be no worse that 1 in 1000 based on turnout.

They consider it junk mail unless there is something in it for them. 99% of marketing mail that comes in goes straight to the trash without glance.

Regarding the Post Card front, you can have dotted line outline of a person holding the new Ipad2 and inside the outline, you can put..."insert your photo here."

Most people I work with are pretty optimistic so they will think that they WILL win the IPAD.

    Good luck!

All super ideas; the strategy of offering a drawing from among attendees was exceedingly popular among brokers in the heady days of marketing comm. real estate. It pretty much guaranteed a good turn out. Consider an image of an IPAD within a cloud and using many of the copy point suggestions above. Sounds like a winning combination.

    Best of luck!
