It depends on what your selling and more importantly, what the girls in your demographic enjoy and expect. As with anyone, you will find some people who are more cerebral, others creative, some like a "natural" or "green" way of life and others who don't care. Respect the urban nature of your message, then home in on the details of your true market.

Ask some of your target audience for feedback and/or measure the results of your writing to see what works/doesn't.

Are your target audience already visiting your website or are you hoping to get them to visit based on your writing?

To reach a specific audience you need to specify the specifics of the audience. At the moment you're serving ALL African American women, which is neither practical or sensible.

As above have posted, you need to narrow that down. If you say all 18 year old black females are your target, you are wrong. Dig deeper. The next thing is to think like your niche and be where they are What are their interests, what else are they buying, what are they watching or reading? Then be there.
