New Website Conversion

Posted by admin on 25 Points
Hi I am new here but I am hoping for some help please.

I have just started my e commerce site as an extension to my retail business. We are already featuring well on search engines for some key terms and this is bringing some traffic already, avg 25 -30 visits a day.

I am not yet converting these visits into buying customers despite value offers.

My question is am I missing something that people are not keen to trade with me? I have tried to look professional I have gone for 1 page checkout and used a well known payment processor, sagepay.

Do you have any advice on helping me start to convert or is it a case of having to wait?

Many thanks in advance.

Gary

What are your Analytics telling you about your visitors? How are they finding you? How much time on your site? What are they looking at? Where are they leaving?

Do you spell out, CLEARLY, and up front, WHAT you sell and do you also spell out WHO your goods are for?

In your main SEO, in your description tags, might you be better off using the phrases people are searching for?

25 t0 30 visits a day is not enough. You have to build traffic. just as you would with your real stores. You need to get the word out via email, social media advertising and so on. Of course it must be targeted to your customer.

    Try:
    Building relationships with Mommy blog.
Use Facebook, Pinterest and any other social media to get message out.
    Advertise on Google.

You might want to have specific landing pages for each keyword and ad combination. That way when a person enters a search term and sees your ad, he or she will be taken to a page that addresses specifically what the search was for.

    What's your bounce rate?

You can try to providing social login to your users and it can increase your user spending more time on your website. You can try built in social login plugins like loginradius.com and check whether it has some impact on user traffic or not
