Emarketing Solution For Agencies

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I am looking for emarketing software that I can use for my independent sales agents.

1. I want to author campaigns that can be used by/for all agents (their email lists). Single template used many times.

2. I want to monitor results and list metadata.

3. I don't want access to individual email addresses unless from a successful sign-up as a result of a campaign.

4. I would want to be able to look-up a single email address find the agent that uploaded this email address.

Does anyone have any suggestions of a system that might work?

I am handling marketing for my company and my objectives are similar to yours. You can refer to my past questions. I've done lot of research on this. The best option is marketo and act-on. Check these tools, evaluate and let me know your feedback on them. It'll help me to make decision for my company. But these tools are costly. If you come up with some better solution then it would be much better.

I'm a bit confused. How independent are these people? Are they similar to manufacturers reps, representing many clients? If so, they should be highly reluctant to let you anywhere near their contact lists.

You want to provide a template, and that is a good idea. But couldn't the template direct people to your landing page, so that you can collect your information ? If these representatives are actually independent, do you want to give these agents the opportunity to put their own names and brands on the e-mail so that you can leverage their relationships?

If the representatives are not truly independent but you have had them sign an agreement as independent contractors, please be careful. If you are in the United States of America, you can put yourself in jeopardy by insisting that independent agents perform using your prescribed methods. I'm not an attorney and can't give legal and vice, and I don't know what very much about your situation, but please be careful.

@telemoxie thanks for your response and your questions. All valid. The agents are all truly independent. Small businesses with 1-3 staff typically, so very little bandwidth for professional marketing. I have been using MailChimp with a small group with whom we have a trusted relationship. In this scenario, the agents open their own MailChimp account and invite us as authors. This works well except for two things. Firstly, we can see (although not download) the actual email addresses and I don't want that. Secondly, it is not a solution that will scale easily on our side as there is a lot of manual intervention changing templates one by one for each agent.

For landing pages, we do provide a unique URL for each agent within our purpose-built platform but this does not provide great flexibility over page design and call to action.
