Sales are slow on this website and I'd like to know if the general opinion is that the website is okay and more marketing needs to be done, or does the website need altering

What does your analytics tell you? How many visitors? What were they searching for? What specific region to you serve? How much better than the competition (including the local butcher) are you? How does your pricing compare? Right now your website's home page is about you business, but not about why someone would want to purchase from you specifically.

Is the problem that you don't have enough traffic coming to the site, or that you are not converting enough of those who make it to your site?

How do you draw traffic today? How do people find you?

Let's make sure we solve the right problem.

I've tried your link on two browsers and I get bupkis, so I can't tell what's what on your site. Please post an actual link.

Sales can be slow online for lots of reasons, just a few of which include:

Traffic: where it's coming from, how warmed up it is, and what route visitors need to wind their way along in order to buy something.

Sales path: How simple it is, how clutter it is, ease of selection, ease of purchase, free or instant delivery (online vs shipped) and how do people get their money back if they're not happy.

Relationships: Why do people come to your site and from where? Are you using the classic relationship-building triangle of great direct response copy, a blog, and e-mail messaging (and that's messaging, not marketing or selling) to develop a relationship with your tribe?

    That'll do for starters.

232 people have signed up for the newsletter, 1015 people like the facebook page. None have made purchases. When I look at Analytics the bounce rate is 50%. Should I have more products on the home page and remove some of the text, maybe featured products with discounts?

I don't want to post the full domain name as I don't want this conversation showing up in a Google search of said domain!!

With no knowledge of what the products are (or of who your buyer is), and without further information about what the home page looks like or what text is where and what it does or does not do, I can't help you. You've built an asset of 1,200+ people. Invest time in connecting with them.

    Hi,

First impression is that the website looks great! Very professional looking. Seems like you have your social media accounts online.

The blog could be better though. First, the Meta Title is "Blog", so you definitely change that into something more related to your industry. Also, you are not that active on the blog. You should post at least 1 time per week, possibly more if you can. That way the search engines will visit your site on a more regular basis. Also, when posting, try to make the posts more engaging by adding graphics. This blog is an example: https://www.printapromo.com/blog - Each post has a picture that relates to the story.

    Hope these tips help.

On my phone, yes, I can access your link: thank you.

First off, your welcome message needs rewriting because on first blush, all I can hear is the Three Little Pigs (We, we, we) and sadly, no one cares about you, they want to know about themselves. By offering people information that shows people how to use or prepare your particular products, you empower them to learn more and to take action. Consider using Facebook to drive traffic to yor site and consider using in-store incentives to drive traffic both to your site and to Facebook.

Also, see if you can connect with communities on Pinterest, depending on what app most of your current "subscribers" (facebook and newsletters) frequent...although they connected/linked through Facebook, that may not be where they spend most of their time, especially when they are in 'buy' mode. I don't normally connect to products or sites to purchase things when I'm spending time on Facebook....but when I'm on Pinterest or just directly on google, that's when I'm more likely to be in the mode to find more info about a product and/or purchase it.
