Marketing Cpap Therapy To Local Mds As A Clinician

Posted by bcasanova83 on 50 Points
I am a respiratory therapist that just started working for a national CPAP company doing patient set-ups. I am interested in possibly marketing the company and myself locally to get more business. I have no previous sales/marketing experience. How do I market to local Dr's/Sleep clinics? I am unfamiliar with the process it takes from the time a sleep study is ordered to the time a DME company is selected as the provider. I don't want to break any rules or laws in the process. Any advice will be helpful.

Thanks

Can you schedule an informational interview with local sleep clinics to learn more about their business and decision making? Don't sell them anything during the interview - just ask some important questions about the brands they recommend and experience testing new products. Do this a few times, and you'll start to learn the landscape, and then figure out the best way to sell to them.

Have you done your homework knowing how your product stacks up against the competition? Do you have independent lab testing proving your claims?
