How Do I Analyze Published Content On Linkedin?

Posted by Anna Harris on 250 Points
I want to find out what the trending topics are on LinkedIn.
What topcis are people posting about?
What is being posted about the most?

EG:
Are people posting more or less about sustainability in 2023 vs 2022?
What is the sentiment associated with sustainability posts in 2023 vs 2022?

I know I can analyse my own company's content but that's not what I'm interested in.

Thank you. This is definitely the closest thing I've seen so far to what I need. Unfortunately you don't appear to be able to tell it to search for specific topics with a specific date range relating to a particular industry.

To find out the top topics and the content that is being posted the most, you can utilize a combination of approaches:

LinkedIn Trending Topics: LinkedIn itself provides a section called "What's trending" on its platform. It highlights popular topics and discussions that are currently gaining attention. This can give you a quick overview of the most talked-about subjects.

Hashtags and Search Function: You can use LinkedIn's search function to explore specific hashtags related to your areas of interest. By searching for relevant keywords or hashtags, you can discover posts and discussions that revolve around those topics. Pay attention to the frequency and engagement levels of these posts to identify the most popular ones.

External Tools and Analytics: Several third-party tools and analytics platforms specialize in monitoring social media trends. These tools can provide insights into the most discussed topics, popular hashtags, and sentiment analysis associated with specific subjects. They often offer more comprehensive data and allow you to compare trends across different time periods.

To specifically address your questions about sustainability, you can analyze the content and sentiment associated with sustainability-related posts in 2023 compared to 2022. This analysis can be performed using natural language processing (NLP) techniques, sentiment analysis tools, or even manual review of the posts. By comparing the frequency and sentiment of sustainability posts between the two years, you can gain a better understanding of the trend and public sentiment around this topic.
