Need Ideas For Presentation

Posted by Anonymous on 90 Points
Hi! I'm presenting a case about a iVillage.com in a couple of days. It is a class project and my job is to talk about this company in the context of "community" (interestingly, exactly what this this). My partner and I have to engage the class and generate participation, but I don't want to do the usual "Has anyone ever visited the site" or "Has anyone ever posted a message". I'm looking for some short, fun ideas to get the class engaged and interested in participating. It's a small class of no more than 15 people. We go on at 8pm, so any fun idea is welcome :-)

Thank you!!

Perhaps you can ask questions relative to the sites features and tests.

Maybe you could go with something like asking everyone to write down their IQ, then their favorite color, then EQ, and strengths and weaknesses of their personalities.

Then have them write down one question about life. It can be about babies, boyfriends, skin care, favorite TV shows, etc.

Do this before your presentation as an intro, then inform them they can find all the answers/confirmations at ivllage.com, blah, blah, blah.

This will make them emotionally attached to your subject matter since they will be intriqued about why you asked those questions and where they can learn more.

Just a thought off the top of my head!

    Hello,

In a presentation is important that the people use their different senses: not only the view, also the ear, the touch, the smell and the taste.

    - Ear: to put audio and video cassettes with the relatives voices, teachers and friends. To record histories. To put music. To emit sounds and alarms. To pass ahead each person to speak and talk.

    - Touch: allow the people to get in touch and embrace, to change and rotate places permanently. To give them some didactic object that can touch.

    - Smell: to Show images and ask for the kind of smells. To establish relation among the knowledge, the perfume and the personality.

    - Taste: to Give candies with messages inside, to make comparisons between some topics and the kitchen prescriptions. To show information inside desserts and foods.

    Bye,

    Hi

what's your pitch for the talk? that should give you some clues as to how to make it interesting.

SO, if your pitch were: it's like a real community - it grows over time, then it might be worth checking the wayback machine https://www.archive.org to show how the online community has grown over time. Can you relate that to the place where you live?
