Leveraging Email, Mobile, and Social Media to Engage and Retain Customers

A Note to Readers
from Ann Handley

Social Media as Part of the Bigger Picture

My friend Joel Book has a deep grounding in database marketing and (subsequently) email marketing, and he has successfully made the leap into social media, too.

So Joel has valuable perspective when it comes to figuring out the whole integration issue: He understands social media is part of a bigger picture. Specifically: how companies can use email and social media to attract new customers and grow an email subscriber database; how to manage email and CRM to automate lead nurturing; how to combine email and mobile to acquire new email subscribers and deliver timely offers that drive retail traffic; and finally, how to use email analytics to deliver personalized offers and information.

In other words, he's seen how companies are using social media to strengthen their existing programs rather than using Twitter (for example) in a silo.

Lucky for us, he's agreed to share his insights at a MarketingProfs PRO seminar this week, so you can be in the know, too.

He'll share stories from Volvo and Scotts Miracle-Gro, and lay out a plan for how you can achieve some of your own objectives.

See you there?
