How are folks spending the most wonderful time of the year?

The top activities are being with friends and family, decorating, volunteering, going to parties, eating and drinking, and giving and receiving presents.

But how does fruitcake rank as a holiday treat? And what are most merry-makers choosing for their holiday flicks? MWW answers those questions in its colorful infographic, which uses data from its 2012 MWW Holiday Survey Results and the Network for Good Digital Giving Index 2011.

The most shocking revelation of all? Many folks don't hate fruitcake: 45% of people like the fruit-studded pastry (55% don't).

Also, the movies folks cite as favorites during the holiday season are...

  • A Christmas Story (22% of folks)
  • It's a Wonderful Life (14%)
  • A Charlie Brown Christmas (11%)
  • Home Alone (10%)
  • National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (9%)
  • Other (34%)

During the holiday season, folks are also preparing their New Year's resolutions: 27% of people will list the perennial "get fit" as a resolution.
