Need Help For Marketing Research Topic For Bba

Hello;
everyone here i need urgently topics ideas for my final project of BBA(hons).I am a student of PAKISTAN business School.And having my Project on my head can't able to decide about the exact topic to choose.Bythewayz i live in KARACHI City oF pakistan.My age is 21 f. This might b rrequired so i thought to post this topic up..Plz help me i will be highly thankful to all of u here.

    Hi Nabia,
    I can understand your position, as when I was a student I was very confused about which idea or problem out of many would be best to research upon. At this point of time, when you have just stepped in the vast world of marketing, I would suggest you to choose any company which fascinates you most, which you feel you would love to research on; or any idea or problem which you feel that need to be addressed. Try to do an indepth research on it and take guidance from your professors. It is just that you need a direction at the moment. Once you decide that, you will learn a lot in the process.

    thanks alot for ur responses.Puru u asked me abt resources available to me..itz a indiviual project and i have my classes running along with the project so don't have tht much time for visiting office-to-office n places to places for reserch i can do it 3 -4 times n thts all abt it.BUt as i have worked a bit on Mobile lines sevice providers that are mobilink,telenor,ufone,paktel,and wrid in my country.so have a bit knowledge abt thm.we have to identify a problem in any area which ever we have choosen n given suggestions,their strategy and tectics,services they offer etc in case i go for service section of marketing and if i take any industry like soaps or shampoo so i have to reserch abt all kinds of shampoo avialable in my cuntry and wht they r offering whts the trouble with thm wht might b the solution.wht target market n everything related to marketing like 4p's ,swat anaylsis.etc. I hope i have clear myself up. plzz get me suggestions and wht according to u will be suitable nin which i can find enough data to complete 3 credit hour project?.

    hello Mr.MaCus. first of all thanks for ur reply 2ndly u ask my area of intrest i like advertising and the prob. im considering is the current issue at pakistan is to remove bill boards from the entire cities cuz of some horrible accidents took place in country after rain fall n stroms kills 30+ prople who were standing under billboards n they fall on thm.one more area is the service providers of mobile lines...but the main prob. in advertising things is tht i don't have a clue from where to start whom to meet?no clue at all.from where i should collect data?n do my analysis?hypothsis etc..thts all making me more n more confused:S...and in service providers of mobile lines are the thing from where to find prob. cuz no body will iniciate tht (within a company)tht we have this prob. and we r completly hopeless on tht?so real things will not be visible to me?so wht u suggest wht area i should took and in which area itzz a scope tht i will b able to complete my 3credit hours project.
    feel free to ask if u need some other info.thanks once again.

    Hi Nabia,
    I reply with a guess that the question is still open (your last reply hints otherwise but then anyway...)

    I will go along with Puru's comments that for 3yr proj, you wont be looking at a comprehensive quantitative analysis but rather only the qualitative one.

    Yes, with your mobile background you can go for some projects over there, like marketing of VAS or a comparative analysis of same (VAS becomes money earner once the competetion gets real tough and margins reduce). you can also have a check on the rise of luxury phones and the potential marketing strategies (with pak's increasing GDP growth, disposable income increasing...)

    But after a look at ur profile I had some fresh options in mind. Your batchmates will all be doing similar things, so why not do something related to marketing to women? That may infact take u higher on marks as it will be different.

    You can take a look at all market offerings in the newer categories in personal care, or how the stress has increased on the marketing to career women, a category that dint exist a decade back. Try looking at products where the consumer as well as decision maker is female; and also where female is just a consumer but decision maker may be male, say her husband/parent etc. All the best for ppt!

SO WILL U PLZZ ELABERATE MORE ABT MAKRKETING WOMEN?I GOT UR IDEA BUT NOT COMPLETLY UNDERSTAND IT.RU TRYING TO SAY THAT "NOW WOMENS ARE MORE INTO MARKETING PRODUCTS OR USING PRODUCTS OF PERSONAL CARE THN BEFORE,N WHT ARE THE SCOPE OF PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS IN MARKETS"...OR SOMETHING ELSE..

    P.S: I HAVE TO FIND OUT A PROB. IN CURRENT SENIOR N WRITE DOWN SUGESTION FOR SOLVING THT PROB. SO PLZ SUGGEST ON THT BASICS.
