Help! I Hate My Job

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I have written a book, "Help! I Hate My Job" which I plan to begin marketing on a my web site helpihatemyjob.com as an ebook. The web site will feature bulletin boards for visitors to discuss and solve problems they are having at work. I will also have a consulting and speaking ad on the site. Much of the site content is free designed to help the 20 million plus American workers who struggle with what they do for a living, improve their odds of success and fulfilment in life.

I am looking for methods to get my site (not up yet) noticed. Do I use media press releases? Google pay per click ads? It seems like a jungle out there! I certainly don't want to use anything that would be considered spam. Thank you for your input.

    Bonkens,

I shared two responses for this gentleman that would apply to you. https://www.marketingprofs.com/ea/qst_question.asp?qstID=2184#14399 Hope you like it. Is there anything else I can do for you?

Deremiah covered testimonials, endorsements, and PR in the link he pointed you to.

In addition to that, I would consider writing articles. You are an expert on the subject of your book. Write articles for career related sites giving away some of the information from your book as an article. In all cases, you will get an Author's Bio, where you would have a link to your web site and information about what you do and the book.

Yes, press releases and better yet a feature article will help get the word out. (you can even broadcast an article to a quality opt-in email list). Google search both free and paid should be explored. You will need a site to do Search Engine Marketing (SEM). But over these, try to find a BIG EVENT opportunity. With all the cable programming looking for employment related stuff, there are opportunities to be seen regionally or nationally. You might want to talk with some booking agents to get a better understanding of the process and how you could creatively work yourself on to a show.

    Hope this helps
