Well, it is often strongest if you can show value you have provided to others (the assumption being that if you did this for others, you can do it for the new company).

You find that value by coming up with short stories of what you have done. What was the problem you had, what was the solution you made for that problems, and what were the results you created.

After you come up with a bunch of those, the bullets would be the solution and results. This would be shown such as "Achieved first year sales of $200k by launching our current product into an untapped market niche".

The reason I say to make the story first is because if you list this bullet on your resume, one of the questions they will ask you in an interview is how did you do this. You need to be ready to answer that question.

To develop your personal value proposition:

    1. Figure out who is your target
    2. Look at your personal SWOT
    3. Imagine the perfect reference-sentence the target could say about you that would include the key elements of your SWOT. e.g. Creates faultless business specifications, translates seamlessly into fully-functional code with complete set of simple, practical user-documentation.
    4. Repeat for all potential target audiences.
    5. Ensure you have the strategies in place to deliver on each of your VPs, in full, on time, every time.

    Hope this helps.

There's a ton of useful info and ideas on the AskTheHeadhunter.com website. For example:

    Tear your resume in half

Hope you find some good stuff there. And, of course, your dream job!
