New Hard Hitting Tagline Required
Posted By: owen.mcloughlin* on 3/2/2005 9:00 AM (CST) 250 Points
We are a large independent specialist IT and Management training company.

We are able to offer up to 60% of funding towards all training.
We can offer online training as a learndirect centre for as little as £10.00 per course.
We can offer fully funded ILM courses (institute of leadership and management)

We would like a strapline/tagline for an e-shot we are sending out.

I can see your difficulty ... maintaining the high perceived value of the training while saying it's cheap!

Could we talk in terms of subsidized training?

Or do we say funding-assisted?

If not, what terms are acceptable?

Please could you describe your target market in as much detail as possible, too. This will help us considerably.

You didn't say whether we can use the word "subsidised" or not. As you're in the UK people would assume that "subsidised" means part-funded by government/L&SC/Modern Apprentices or whatever, and that may not be the case.

Okay, here are a few ideas for starters...

First-class funded training in business essentials

First-class funded training in business basics

Affordable business training your employees can't afford to miss

Sorry to keep harping on about this, but do please tell us a bit more about the training and the marketplace - I still feel I'm working somewhat in the dark here.

We are a Microsoft Certfied partner, providing full range of PC Enduser and IT professional courses, we are a certified Learndirect centre providng online learning facilities and testing for both IT Management training.
We provide online and tutor led courses leading to Institue in Leadership and Management (ILM).
We wish to focus on those companies who have 10-250 employee's and less that £15m TO.
We also focus on those people who have not attained more than 5 O Levels (High School).

As you say we do not want to cheaoen the product/services.

My suggestion -

Find an education themed month (check an online calendar - like www.brownielocks.com) and make a limited time offer in honor of this month.

By making this a celebration of an event or career path you don't cheapen the offering - the discount is seen as an honor or thank-you. Additionally you'll be placing time-pressure on the target audience by showing that the discount will go away on a set date, so you should be able to get people to commit a bit faster.

When it comes to education I've always like straplines like "Train Up" "Step Up" "Level Up", etc... These could be tied into the monthly event. E.g., "It's (NAME) Month - Step Up to the Next Level for 60% Less"

(The slogan isn't my best work, but it's early yet.)

Good luck!

Let me get this straight. You are marketing to Managing Directors and decision makers for training to their employees that have not gone beyond high school?

If so it should reflect their needs yet be deemed workable for the target employee. Here are a couple;

Certified 5 0 Level training that your customers will appreciate!

Certified 5 0 Level training that brings ROI through better employees and happier customers!

You could validate the price by saying training is a layered process and this price reflects the beginning of a strong yet building relationship.

Los,

COmac
