Nothing like self training, set a target (say 35 hours a week .. like most CPD programmes) and suggest that your teams gives themselves at least that many hours worth of training, the CIM in the UK runs an approach like that, and they use the following criteria which may be useful for you:

Not sure what area of the country you are in, but you might want to check what's available at the local university...I've taken serveral 2 to 3 day classes at UW Madison's Executive Education Center: https://www.uwexeced.com/

These were marketing specific...the Integrated Marketing Communications class was excellent, as was Power Branding. Although online learning is convenient, don't underestimate the value of giving your colleagues a few days outside of the office to boost creativity. The networking and idea exchange that takes place is extremely valuable. I noticed some great things happening when more than one person at an organization participated in a class, so you might want to consider going as a group. With this program they brought in guest speakers, experts in their field to add to the professor's content. I can't say enough good things about this program!

Plus UW Madison offers a great facility with lodging on site if needed...you'll spend under 2K per person including lodging.

    Good luck!

... did AndrewS really mean '35 hours a week' - I'm all for on the job training, but it's stretching things to think of a job being nothing but a learning experience ;-)
I think the CIM work to 35 hours learning per *year* for a marketer to maintain their Chartered status.

Had you thought of introducing your staff to a thriving online marketing forum - like this one - they'd learn a lot about on & offline marketing.
