This type of information is often published in business magazines, which usually means it finds it way online. Using good Google searches can often get what you need. Try searching on "rankings computer hardware" and largest computer hardware" to see what shows up for computer hardware.

Make sure you read the details, as how they are ranked (stock market value, sales, profits, number of employees, etc.) varies by each different survey.

If you can define industry by primary SIC or NAICS code, there are many sources: Hoovers, ZapData, eferenceUSA, InfoUSA, etc.

Some sites are free, some require a payment of some sort. You might also visit your local business reference library... your county library system may have subscribed to one or more databases.

Just in case it is something out of the ordinary, could you let us know by what criteria you want them ranking? For example, I’ve had companies ranked by the size of databases they are known to run, and none of the above listings would provide that!
