Usability Feedback

Val & Company --

First, let me say how much I appreciate the KHE feature of Marketingprofs. I'm completely hooked. But you probably noticed that already. ;]

I have two suggestions, and I'm posting them here so that others can weigh in on their value. You may have received this feedback before now, of course.

== Add LOCATION to the My Profile data ==
Even though it's a Web world, I'd like to see where some of the Experts call home. One reason: It would help me decide whether I want to engage them in services for hire.

== Make the Search Questions table sortable ==
I frequently click the "View all Open questions" button, which takes me to a results page labelled Search Questions. It would be nice to have the ability to click a column heading (like Points) to put them in ascending or descending order. Also, I'd like to see a column that shows the number of responses to a question. Sorting THAT one would be like looking for a juicy eBay auction that's being mobbed.

Amazing community you're creating!

Val, along the topic of usability...

In Jett's 8k Extravaganza posting, you responded: "I am swamped with emails from new members every week who don't understand how to close a question as it is... As soon as we have improved our instructions enough that the Asker confusion rate drops, I think we'll be ready to incorporate that feature."

I would be interested in knowing the most frequent problems that visitors are having with KHE. I can probably guess, but you're the one who's mired in it!

When you have time, email me a list offline. Maybe I can help with some recommendations for the site or with the content of standard-issue emails you're dropping to new members. (My first company provided usability guidance to software and web development teams.)

    Hey Shelley,
thanks for your smirk AND smile . . . so fun. I wanted to send you an email, but I didn't see your address in your profile either. (Maybe I just need another cup of coffee).
I added my email address to my profile. I'm wondering if we've ever met in and around the Houston area?
    Have a good one!
